With the deadline for SCA as part of PSD2 edging ever-closer (14th September 2019), we’re delighted to announce that the Kooomo digital commerce platform is now fully 3DS 2.0-ready and PSD2 compliant!

Kooomo clients now have both the front and back end capabilities to incorporate two-factor authentication into the checkout pages of their online stores, no matter what major payment gateway powers their operations (Adyen, Stripe, Global Payments, Realex, AmazonPay, etc.)

A quick recap on 3D Secure 2.0

In case you’re still a little unsure about 3D Secure 2.0 and how it’s going to affect retailers (as well as online shoppers), you’re in luck because we wrote a whole blog dedicated to breaking down the new regulations, as well as looking at how 3DS2.0 differs from its predecessor, not-so-affectionately known as ‘the conversion killer’ – 3D Secure.

The deadline for PSD2 compliance will, without doubt, come with some teething problems for businesses as they discover just how much two-factor authentication influences their checkout process and conversion rates. However, we’re dedicated to keeping the Kooomo platform is fully compliant with all EU eCommerce regulations and will continue to work hand in hand with our clients to ensure that their online stores are continuously optimised as new industry requirements inevitably emerge over time.
